The Role


Firstly, a Westray consultant delivers exceptional customer service to both our candidates and clients, which is paramount to our success. The ability to listen is crucial, as you need to be able to understand the needs and requirements of clients and candidates, and translate them into deliverable solutions; it's not as easy as people think!

Our consultants have passion, commitment and an unquenchable hunger to succeed. They aren't shy and retiring.

You will be responsible for:

  • New business development and sales generation, including generating your own leads and pipleline
  • Attending regular client meetings with new and existing customers
  • Maintaining existing client relationships, delivering first class customer service at all times
  • Registering and interviewing candidates for specific roles
  • Sourcing and selecting suitable candidates for vacancies, submitting CVs and arranging interviews with clients

You will have:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Previous sales experience would be great, however, training will be provided
  • Excellent personal presentation, dressing appropriately for the corporate environment at all times

The Important bits


- Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (you may be required to work longer hours, at short notice, as and when required to suit the needs of the business)

- You will be part of an on-call rota where you will be required to take the company mobile phone home 1 in every 3 weekends, and once through the week

- Permanent contract

Recruitment Resourcer / Trainee Recruitment Consultant

We are Westray Recruitment Consultants - a leading boutique recruitment consultancy based on Team Valley.Our team of committed and highly trained Consultants offer specialist expertise in the Commercial, Manufacturing and Industrial, Technical & Engineering and Professional sectors.

Due to a period of continued growth in the division, we are now looking for an ambitious, motivated individual to join our Commercial team. With an excellent internal team and a culture built upon honesty and trust, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business where you can progress and develop.

THE ROLE


When working in recruitment, every day is different. This role will give you the opportunity to broaden your business knowledge, by exposing you to a variety of businesses and candidates from a range of market sectors on a daily basis. As a result, you will be engaging with professionals at all levels.

The idea is that you will initially work to support our Lead Commercial Consultant in a key resourcing role. However, you will also show motivation and passion to develop into a 360 Recruitment Consultant.

Initially, your role will involve:

  • Sourcing and selecting suitable candidates for vacancies, utilising a range of methods including our database and external job boards
  • Conducting telephone screening interviews with potential candidates
  • Preparing and submitting CVs to clients
  • Arranging interviews with clients
  • Writing job adverts and managing responses
  • Taking incoming calls on the desk, being a key point of contact
  • Key administration tasks and database management

After demonstrating your capabilities, you will then have the opportunity to develop into a Consultant role. Support and training will be provided along the way, but it will ultimately be up to you as to how quickly this happens.

As a fully-fledged Consultant, you will then take on business development and sales responsibilities and move into a more client and customer facing role. This will involve account management, generating your own pipeline and attending client meetings.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS


What do you need to be considered for this role? Well, you definitely need to be self-motivated and demonstrate a hunger and desire to develop. You should also meet the following criteria:

Preferably educated to degree level
You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport
You must be very articulate, with excellent telephone, face to face and written communication skills
A strong team player

It would be advantageous if you have previous recruitment experience; however, what is most critical is an excellent work ethic and a desire to achieve exceptional customer service.

CONTRACT


This is a permanent role, whereby you will work from 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday – Friday (with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday, providing the requirements on the desk have been met).

SALARY AND BENEFITS


Salary is negotiable
Team bonus is also in place, which you will be eligible for upon completion of 3 months’ service

22 days’ holiday per year + bank holidays + your birthday (rising with length of service)
