• Salary:£14.50 per hour plus 25% shift premium = £18.13 per hour
• 37 Hours per week:
• Day Shift:Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 14:00,Friday 06:00 – 13:30
• Back Shift:Monday to Wednesday 13:45 – 23:45, Thursday 13:45 – 22:45
• Pension – 3% Company Contribution
• Overtime Rate Applicable
• 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
• Cycle to Work Scheme
• Radius Allowance payable based on commute to work miles

THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a time served Manual Machinist to join our client based in Consett. The company in question specialises in the engineering of rotating equipment. They service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK and abroad; from multi-stage, high pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps. Our client are at an exciting point in our development and, due to considerable growth, require a Turner to join our busy machining team.

THE ROLE

• To ensure safety and quality procedures are adhered to and assist in the improvement of processes.
• Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
• Produce work to the highest quality standard to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Work within British Standards as per company procedures.
• Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.
• To take part in specialist or multi-disciplinary team activities.
• To behave in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

THE PERSON

• Time served Machinist
• Experience running manual lathes
• Manual milling, slotting, vertical & horizontal boring and grinding experience, this would be a bonus, but is not essential for this role
• Ability to work to fine tolerances
• good team work and machining capability is essential
