Matthew's First Two Weeks....

Today marks the end of my second week at Westray Recruitment Consultants and I have to start by stating that it’s been an overwhelmingly positive return to the rollercoaster ride that is the recruitment industry. I’ve been hugely impressed by the diligence and passion with which everyone here pursues recruitment excellence on behalf of our clients and candidates alike.

My new colleagues and managers have made me feel very welcome, encouraged me to evaluate and offer my input but most importantly furnished me with the tools to go out and do a great job for the people and businesses of the North East. Our approach is one with customer centricity at its heart, whether that’s a hiring manager, a candidate or our own colleagues. It’s an approach that is all too often lacking in the recruitment industry, where reputations are lost on the back of poor due diligence, ineffective client/candidate contact or the desire to make a quick pound.

From a Technical and Engineering perspective, there remains a hugely positive outlook and the wider team and I are working on some enviable vacancies on behalf of our clients. I can’t wait to build some momentum and help as many of you as possible hire great candidates and secure outstanding employment opportunities alike.
