Maureen Wright
Managing Director
LinkedIn QR Code Maureen’s career began in Birmingham in the early 1980’s, (don’t tell her we said that), where she worked for both national and independent recruitment consultancies. She moved back to the region in 1990 to set up Westray Recruitment Consultants with the aim being to provide a highly ...professional, quality driven service to meet the demands of industry and commerce throughout the North East. Maureen takes pride in the company ethos of ensuring exceptional service delivery in all areas at all times and has built up a number of long standing working partnerships with many clients. Unlike a lot of MDs, Maureen is very hands-on in her managerial approach. After 20 years, she still has big ambitions to further cement our place as one of the premier recruitment consultancies in the region. When Maureen isn’t managing her dedicated team, she is an avid football fan, where she could outdo most pundits with her extensive knowledge of the game. She also enjoys a good sporting autobiography, and keeps active through regular (though reluctant) visits to the gym.

Steven Hodgson
Finance Director
LinkedIn QR Code Steven joined the company in 1995 on a part time basis whilst he was studying at Northumbria University for his Business and Finance degree. Following graduation, he joined the company full time as a graduate trainee in 1997 and has worked his way up the corporate ladder to ...become our Finance Director. Not only is Steven responsible for everything financial, he is also instrumental in the strategic and operational development of the business. Outside of the workplace, Steven is a keen football fan and attends matches regularly as well as playing the odd game here and there. He also enjoys a game of cricket and can be regularly found at the Riverside watching Durham ply their trade. First and foremost, he is a dedicated family man with a wife and daughter.
