THE BUSINESS
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our client, an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England.
With nearly 50 years of experience in machining and assembling critical subsea components and systems, they are a market leader in their field.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will have direct experience of maintaining CNC Machinery
THE ROLE
Maintaining CNC machinery, carrying out all necessary repairs and preventative maintenance
Ensuring machinery is safe and operational following any maintenance interaction
Ensuring regular servicing schedules are maintained and prioritised around production demands
Liaising with external contractors to arrange support with repairs, spares or general guidance
Being proactive on ways to improve machines or process
Undertaking general building maintenance and repair tasks within your capabilities
Assisting with waste disposal, including general, recyclable, and chemical waste
THE PERSON
Be a time served Maintenance Technician
Be mechanically bias however, an understanding of electrical maintenance would be an advantage
Be competent in carrying out general repairs to CNC machinery. Experience of Doosan, Mazak, HASS and / or DMG preferred
Have health and safety awareness for Working at Height
A current forklift and or cherry-picker licence would be an advantage
Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others
THE PACKAGE
This is a permanent role paying £16.88 per hour to work day shift only. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm. There is readily available overtime paid at enhanced rates.
