A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Telecommunications Consultant (with specific Mitel experience) to join a leading North East Managed IT Service Provider. Working within the Technical Services Department you will be heavily involved in the planning, execution and completion of telephony projects, according to agreed deadlines and budget. You will hold pre-installation liaison with both the client and Project Manager to agree objectives, preparing a technical plan and executing this to align with customer specifications.

Daily duties will include; installing & configuring Mitel based telephony solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of assigned projects and providing presales assistance to the sales department.


To be successful in your application, you must carry working experience of designing, deploying and supporting Mitel telephony products. You will show a strong understanding of general telecommunications technology including; SIP, MiVoice Border Gateway, MiCollab and MiContact Business Centre.

It is essential that you hold at least a valid Mitel MiVoice Business (MCD) qualification. A formal qualification in a network discipline is not mandatory, but a strong understanding to aid troubleshooting and design is expected. CCNA or equivalent qualification would prove highly advantageous.


You will receive a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications.


This role is a permanent contract and your hours will be 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday. You may be required to work at customer locations throughout the UK, which will involve staying away from home, typically no longer than 4-5 nights.
