THE ROLE

The position is a Pack Leader reporting directly to the Production Shift Manager.

The person will lead teams to deliver high levels of efficiency, hygiene and quality standards.

They will ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.

They will lead and drive the shift maximising output as well as waste minimisation and effectively execute the shift plan.

• Ensure the production line is set up following the required quality standards ensuring all specifications are met
• Competent in performing audits and risk assessments completed on schedule
• Liaising with the Shift Manager to deliver their KPI’s and targets with consistency and compliance
• Reviewing the plan to work out exactly what materials are needed to supply the line
• Ensure stock rotation, line clearance, traceability is adhered whilst changeovers and cleans are organised, documented and completed in time
• Constantly monitoring the output of the line, ensuring it is fully supplied at all times avoiding unnecessary stoppages and carrying out checks during and at the end of the run
• Ensure all health and safety requirements for the line and the team are fully adhered
• Ensure complete accuracy in packaging and labelling through to palletisation

THE PERSON

You would have experience of leading a team and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will demonstrate effective communication skills both verbal and written at a high standard.

Working similar shift hours would be advantageous as you can demonstrate commitment to the role.

Good relationship skills as you will work closely with your Shift Manager and lead an effective team.

You are accountable to deliver the plan on target, be compliant with all standards and specifications whilst leading the team to ensure the plant runs smoothly.

• Team Leader experience
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills
• Excellent standard of verbal and written English
• Good numeracy skills
• Food Handling experience or experience of working in a food industry
• Food Safety training (desirable)
• Fork Lift training (desirable)
