  • To ensure COSSH assessment, risk assessment and document safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with site health and safety, including identifying potential risks.
  • To manage the ordering and stock control of hygiene consumables and chemicals, and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  • Liaising with suppliers as Night Hygiene Manager
  • Managing budgets, ensuring expenditure is documented and authorised and using the budget effectively to improve service and quality.
  • Monitoring the maintenance of equipment, Hygiene Internal & Customer audits and hygiene standards.
  • Development of team’s competencies, internal training and development of staff. Arranging external training when required, to ensure efficient running of the department.
  • Managing staffing, attendance, recruitment, staffing plans, development plans and personal and chemical training put in place for staff.
  • Ensure SOP’s & CIC’s are up to date.


Experience within a fast-moving consumer goods environment and a background in a food manufacturing environment.

Understanding Others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required


This role is permanent NIGHT SHIFT 9pm – 5am Monday – Friday

Salary - £35k - £40k

Permanent role, with 6-month initial probation

This is a permanent position within Leeming bar, so ideally candidates will have access to transport to ensure they can travel to the place of work.
