Westray Recruitment Group is looking to recruit experienced Assembly Operatives to work within a high-volume manufacturing environment based in Birtley.

Successful candidates will be able to read basic drawings and be proficient with a wide array of hand tools.

This is a temp to perm opportunity based on completing a successful probation period.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?

Assembling components to desired standards - loading and unloading parts
Using various hand tools, including sets, squares, screw drivers, tapes, saws, air powered tools to aid assembly
Operating cnc machinery
Working at pace and taking a sense of pride in the presentation/finish of work

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

Must have prior assembly experience
Must be dexterous to use various hand tools
Must be able to follow drawings and build instructions
Must be able to work as part of a team and with limited supervision
The ability to learn cnc based machinery and have a willingness to acquire new skills
All applicants are expected to be punctual, reliable and display a mature conscious attitude to work

WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?

This position centres on a temp to perm contract following a successful probation period.

This position centres on dayshift hours covering a 40-hour week.

Start times are staggered between 6AM and 8AM.

Although there is no imminent plans, in periods of peak production, workers will be expected to undertake shift work centring on days, backs & nights.

WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING

This position pays £9.37 per hour.

The role comes with readily available overtime paid at Time & 1/4 Monday to Friday and Time & 1/3 Saturday morning.
