COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A world renowned Global Manufacturer of automotive components is looking to recruit an experienced and driven Production Controller to join their Washington site.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Production Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the production department; this includes reporting, training/development and utilising continuous improvement techniques.

You will actively plan and manage resources in order to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives; quickly establishing priorities and executing objectives. You will monitor build against target and deliver OEE improvements through development plans and performance monitor procedure.

Proactively seeking responsibility, you will show the ability to gather information in order to understand complex issues; analysing problems and risk to establish causes and suggest clear and logical solutions. You will ensure all audits are completed to a consistently high level. Evidencing proven managerial skills you will ensure that the workforce are on board with the promotion of the Kaizen scheme. You will also ensure that Shift Reports are updated with accurate and up-to-date information.

Ensuring the highest service levels are achieved, you will monitor failed IDOC’s and monitor customer portals in-line with business needs. Additionally, you will monitor and create outbound deliveries to customers, organising transport to ensure that customer deliveries are met.

THE EXPERIENCE

In order to be considered for this role, you must carry at least NVQ level accreditation in Leadership & Management. You will show reliable leadership skills with a proven record in driving change. You will have the ability to monitor deadlines and targets of daily production, able to lead a team effectively through coaching and development plans.

You must have experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment, with automotive being preferable.

THE SALARY

The salary for this role is highly competitive in keeping with industry standards.

THE CONTRACT

This is a full time, permanent position. The successful candidate will work on a day shift basis, although additional hours may be required to suit the needs of the business.
