We are delighted to bring you the chance to join a legal services organisation based in Cramlington who is now looking to appoint a Paralegal/Conveyancing Assistant to join their growing team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will join the business as a Paralegal/Conveyancing Assistant, initially in more of an administrative capacity but with the potential to develop. This will see you working as part of a close-knit team who are all passionate about delivering outstanding service.

On a daily basis, you will provide assistance for a range of conveyancing matters.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for customers via telephone and email, ensuring a positive and efficient service is delivered
  • Generating quotes for customers and following them up
  • Opening files on the case management system
  • Updating customers and agents on their sales/purchases
  • Supporting with new customer registrations
  • Supporting the administrative needs of the business, this will include filing documents and undertaking photocopying and scanning letters/documents

Ideally, you will bring an ambitious approach and a willingness to learn and develop as continuous learning and doing the best for clients is what the business is all about!


To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Assistant
  • You must have knowledge and experience of Conveyancing
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • A positive attitude and personable approach

It will advantageous to your application if you:

  • Carry commercial property experience
  • Are willing to train as a Licensed Conveyancer long term (at the company’s expense)
  • Have a driving license and access to your own transport


The salary on offer for this role can be negotiable depending on your experience.


This is a full-time, permanent position. Office hours are from 9.00am until 5.15pm from Monday – Friday. The office is also open until 1pm on a Saturday but these hours are not mandatory in this role. The business is also willing to discuss more flexible working options if required (although these hours are preferred).

The company offers 29 days’ annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays). An employee share scheme is also on offer for the right candidate.
