Logistics / Despatch Co-Ordinator

THE BUSINESS

With two sites across the region, our client is a multi-million pound turnover business and a leading manufacturer of medical components for a global market.

THE ROLE

Due to long term sickness, we are supporting the business with its search for a Logistics/Despatch Co-Ordinator.

This will be for a minimum of 6 months and is available for an immediate start.

The working hours will be on a rotating shift pattern of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. Reporting to the Despatch Manager, duties will entail:

• Responsibility for the day to day activities for domestic and international shipping of products by road, sea and air
• To manage all modes of transportation to ensure the most efficient and cost effective ,methods are utilised, following established corporate logistics process
• Dealing with both import and export documentation
• Producing pick lists for the despatch team
• Work closely with other internal and external customers to ensure company KPI’s are achieved.
• To be responsible for ensuring the Division is in compliance with governmental entities, laws, rules and regulations.

THE PERSON

Ideally you will be flexible in your approach to your work and willing to role up your sleeves and assist where required.

Whilst the business environment is professional, you will be working in an office that is connected to the warehouse, therefore you will haver regular contact with members of that team on a daily basis.

Whilst training will be given, the following qualities and experience would definitely be beneficial:

• Knowledge of Import/Export documentation
• Experience of working within Logistics/Despatch
• Strong communication skills

THE PACKAGE

Salary of 25K pro rata

Hours of Work are 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, rotating week on week
