COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A global manufacturer within the automotive industry is looking to recruit an Accounts and Administration Assistant to work at their renowned site in Peterlee. This well-established, reputable organisation has an excellent reputation within the North East and across the world and so this is a great time to join a thriving, fast-paced manufacturing business. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Company Accountant, as Accounts & Administration Assistant you will provide support for the daily activities of the Accounts department within the purchase ledger and credit control areas. You will also provide generalist administration support across the business, including supporting the front office area.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coding invoices and entering them into Sage 200
  • Reconciling purchase order numbers with deliveries / invoices
  • Distributing invoices for payment authorisation
  • Supporting with the day to day running of the front office desk
  • Welcoming and dealing with visitors to the site
  • Taking incoming calls, directing them to the relevant person or department
  • Organising and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Planning and managing meeting room requirements
  • Organising corporate hospitality for in-house meetings
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Administering uniform and stock requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To apply for the position of Accounts & Administration Assistant, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Sage 200 experience
  • Qualifications within administration, ideally BTEC Level 3 in Business Administration
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using Sage systems
  • Personality wise, you must carry excellent communication skills, be highly organised, flexible and results driven.

THE SALARY

This role comes with a salary of between £19,000 and £21,000, dependent on your experience.

THE CONTRACT

This is a permanent, full time role. You will work from 8am – 430pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am – 3.30pm on a Friday.

You will receive 25 days’ annual leave per year (+ bank holidays), however, this includes a summer and winter factory shutdown whereby holiday must be used within this time.
