Receptionist

An experienced Receptionist required to work in a busy office environment in Washington.
Duties include:
Will be the first point of contact for all incoming visitors and candidates.
Ensuring that candidates are issues with the relevant paperwork and their ID is verified.
Managing incoming emails and distributing them to the relevant departments.
Taking advert responses and screening potential candidates to ensure they have the relevant experience.
Issuing and chasing references.
Scanning documents and inputting candidate data onto a bespoke system.
General administration duties such as: - typing letters, filing candidate applications and any other duties as and when required.
Must a good telephone manner as will be working on a busy reception answering the telephone, dealing with enquires and assisting callers where possible.
Working hours are 9am till 5.30pm, Monday to Fri but must be flexible.
The position will be temporary to begin with and will become permanent after a 3 month probationary period.
Previous experience working within the recruitment industry is essential.

Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking to recruit a multi-skilled and talented warehouse operative for a client based in Washington.

Working hand-in-hand with the warehouse manager, the succesful candidate will be involved in a brand-new start up project based in Washington.

Applicants will be well versed in all aspects of warehouse duties and possess the following credentials:-

Counter-balance, Reach and High-Level FLT certificates

Barcode and Hand-Held scanner skills,

Up to, and including, 7.5 ton driving licence

Knowledge of goods-in and goods-out procedures.

Be able to give and take instruction

Candidates must pass a basic CRB check. Attendance and discretionary bonuses available to further boost your earnings. This role could lead into a position of authority once the site is running so supervisory experience is desirable. Once the site starts to employee further staff, it is likely that the succesful candidate for this role will be promoted.

Warehouse Coordinator

Due to an internal promotion, a Production Company based in Seaham require an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to ensure the safe distribution, export and handling of hazardous chemicals. Candidates must posses an ADR certificate/licence and preferably a DGSA certificate. This is a stand alone role, so you must be able to self manage. You will be responsible for booking in and out all stock and raw materials, liaising with external transportation companies and completing all relevant paper work. You will assist with the loading and unloading of stock, so a FLT licence is essential. Previous experience working within a Chemical background would be advantageous.

Warehouse Administrator

Our client is an international manufacturer of commercial shelving units. They are presently seeking a committed, enthusiastic, highly motivated person to join their team, based at Burnopfield, providing first class customer service to their prestigious clients.

The main purpose of the role is to input parcels and packages onto Carriers systems ready to leave the Warehouse.

To retrieve Proof of Deliveries as and when requested.

To keep filing of POD’s up to date.

To produce delivery notes from the internal system.

To organize vehicles with the Carrier companies.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm and the hourly rate is £6.70 per hour. This is a temporary position for approx 2 months.

Applicants should have a background in mechanical engineering, ideally with tool room / tool maintenance experience.

Key tasks will be tool maintenance, manufacture of knife tools, jigs and fixtures, tool blading, grinding, sheet metal tool work.

Tool design – not essential as training given

Technical Manager

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Westray recruitment who is acting as an employment agency. Local food manufacturer requires an experienced technical manager to manage the daily functions of the Technical and Quality Assurance Departments. Will play a key role in developing and updating site QA and HACCP systems. Duties will include; quality and food safety, investigating customer complaints, implementing and monitoring processes in accordance with the latest EC and UK legislation, carry out GMP/food safety audits ensuring compliance with certification standards for BRC, IFS and COPIS. Train and motivate the quality assurance team and site managers on hygiene and food safety standards, conduct regular site and staff hygiene checks. Applicants must have worked in a Food Manufacturing background previously in a similar role.

Technical Co-ordinator

The ideal candidate will be a proven team player yet still able to work to their own initiative. Methodical and organized, you must work to strict deadlines and have the ability to prioritize your own workload. Working from drawings your main duties will be to cost, price, calculate and approve components then issue quotations and tenders. You will then process customer orders to their specific requirements.

Accuracy and attention to detail are of paramount importance. You should be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, preferably with a Business Studies qualification, and be fully IT literate. Previous experience of work in a pressurized customer facing role is advantageous.

This is a permanent position. Hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Salary - £14-15k

Our client is looking for a Team Leader/ Supervisor to work in a busy bottling plant based in Stanley. The successful applicant is to supervise up to 40 staff on a 3 shift system. Knowledge of health & safety and basic computer skills is required. Team Leader experience working within a Production Environment is essential. The rate of pay is £8ph plus nightshift allowance. Part Time Stock Control Clerk

Our client is an independent soft drinks company with a tradition of producing premium soft drinks and giving dependable quality and service, having been manufacturing soft drinks for over 100 years, and spring waters since 1993. Based at their Sunderland Site the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the stock system ensuring accuracy of both finished goods and raw material stock levels.

Main tasks of the job are the daily recording of production sheets, goods received, stock receipts and stock transfers, stock adjustments that are not processed automatically.

Carry out physical inspection of stocks to agree quantities where there appears to be discrepancies.

Raising Purchase Orders for raw materials to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to supply normal production requirements.

Progress chasing of outstanding Purchase Orders.

Monitoring of stock levels by regularly running overstock reports and valuations.

Candidates must be IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Must also be numerate as this job will entail a lot of dealing with numbers, with attention to detail.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm (Although hours can be flexible)

Salary £13,000 (Pro Rota)

Software Design Engineer

My client is looking to recruit software developers with a minimum of 2 years experience in designing & developing GUI applications written in C, C++ and Visual C++.

Knowledge of embedded Operating Systems is an added advantage.

The successful candidate will also have proven experience in a Microsoft platform application arena such as Visual Studio, MFC.

Additionally, knowledge of image compression such as MPEG2/4, H264 is desirable.
